TOYNAMI ACQUIRES "BLEACH" LICENSE

Announced at San Diego's Comic-Con International, Toynami has added a new license to its catalog, the manga and anime smash BLEACH!

BLEACH is coming to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block in September, and we'll be producing all manner of merchandise inspired by the series, including articulated and non-articulated PVCs ranging in height from 3" to 16". GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

In case you missed the news from the big Comic-Con show in San Diego, we're very pleased to announce that we'll be producing a full action-figure line for Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's modern classic of animated sci-fi comedy, FUTURAMA. In case you haven't heard, new episodes of the series are currently in production for release in 2008, and our new action figures will be there to greet them, with the first assortment slated for release in early 2007. Wondering who you'll see? Here's a tentative list of the first three assortments, but remember, these are still subject to change:

MACROSS HITS THE TOY FAIR!

At this week’s International Toy Fair in New York, Toynami was pleased to premiere two brand-new items scheduled for release in 2006: the Macross 1/100 Scale Transformable Action Figures, and the Macross 12” Action Dolls!

The 1/100 Scale Transformable Action Figures stand approximately 6 inches tall and are fully articulated, and transform into Fighter, Battloid and Gerwalk mode, while the Action Dolls feature over 30 points of articulation and include a high-detail flight suit.

“NARUTO” STATUES AND COLLECTIBLES COMING SOON FROM TOYNAMI

Sherman Oaks, CA – Toynami is very pleased to announce that it has acquired the license to create figurines, statues and collectibles based on the smash new anime sensation NARUTO, currently airing in Cartoon Network.

NARUTO, created by Masashi Kishim
oto, made its debut as manga in the pages of SHONEN JUMP, and quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan. NARUTO tells the story of a young ninja-in-training who battles his mischievous nature while attending the Ninja Academy, determined to become the greatest ninja in the world and eventually lead his village.

“We’re very excited to start bringing NARUTO’s fantastic characters to life in three dimensions,” said Toynami President George Sohn. “I’ve been watching the episodes, and I’m already addicted!"

Toynami plans to create collectible and limited-edition statues, and the company’s trademark bookends and more! More details on the product line and pricing information will be released soon.

What’s up with the Voltron delays?

Probably the most-asked question at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was just that: “When’s the Voltron Masterpiece coming out? What’s taking so long?” We hear you, and trust us, we’re just as impatient to get the final product as you are. Here’s the scoop: Midway through our normal quality control process, we elected to make further changes to the tooling so as to improve the overall transformability, which has unfortunately caused a delay in production. An exact release date can’t be given at present, but we expect to see it by the end of the year.

We understand that the delays are frustrating, but we’d rather take a little more time and deliver the best product we possibly can. In the meantime, here are some new images of the proto-type.

These finely detailed cold-cast porcelain sculptures can stand on their own as statues, or in their intended function as bookends to your collection of Robotech Masterpiece Alpha volumes. Each bookend is approximately 8 inches tall, featuring an exciting battle scene between Scott Bernard’s VFA-6H Alpha Fighter and an Invid Enforcer.

EMILY STRANGE PLUSHES TO BE RELEASED FIRST QUARTER 2005

The plush dolls of Emily the Strange’s quartet of feline companions have been delayed, allowing us to refine the production process and create vastly improved likenesses of Mystery, Nee Chee, Miles and Sabbath. The plush beanies will now arrive in stores in March 2005. (Any reports you might be seeing of product available for sale on auction sites or online is incorrect – none have shipped.) Inuyasha series 3 revealed!:

Continuing with our smash hit series Inuyasha is the hotter than hot Series 3 starring none other than Sango and Miroku! For updates on the development of these exciting new figures keep checking back with us to get the inside scoop!

Miroku, the money hungry sorcerer with a wind tunnel in his right hand, was cursed by Naraku and has joined forces with Kagome to free himself from the curse.

Sango was born to a tribe of demon exterminators of which she is the sole survivor after the entire village was annihilated by Naraku. She wields the 'Hiraikotsu', a giant boomerang, and is accompanied by Kirara, a demon who has taken the form of a cat.
